Lest we forget
The break of dawn at Clyde on ANZAC day was an exceptional one and seemed fitting when remembering our brave ANZAC soldiers who gave up their lives 100 years ago. To be part of the celebration was very humbling. Young and old joined the service and the sunrise was sensational. The lonely piper at the top of Clyde hill was incredibly moving and certainly set the mood for the morning. After the service the crowd congregated down at the Dunstan Arm Hotel where they mingled to share a yarn or two, and enjoy a tawny port. Hosts Tom and Nicki Blakie, provided the saveloys and soup on the day.
